Will anyone please help me with the Box plan for Aplair Pencil 10.3 plan. I have bought an Alpair 10.3 but can't locate the Pencil 10.3 box plan. Thanks

You can find it linked to via the Markaudio website. Go to the Alpair 10.3 page, select 'cabinet plans and resource links' and you'll see it in the list of enclosures.

Wow thank you. I tried on my home computer and it worked. Unfortunately it is bigger than I can accommodate. I need to look for a smaller Floorstand. I prefer a Floorstand to Avoid a speaker stand. The search continues.

I’ve been thinking about having a go at building a simple single driver speaker for a while and this Pensil looks pretty good from that aspect. Does anybody have a view as to the overall sound? Have they compared it to other speakers?

Great sound for such a simple box. The A10.3 is a very nice driver, and will deliver deep bass in a Pensil. Be sure to build with a removeable rear baffle, so you can adjust the stuffing.

Interesting that the comparison graph is the A10.2, which has been OOP for many years now.

I'd generally suggest an enclosure designed for the drive unit for best results.

I have found this in my MAOP 11 files, its the only one I have saved, looks cool with dual adjustable transmission line.

Strictly speaking, no. It's compatible, and works fine, but 'optimised' for the individually measured & pair-matched MAOP units would imply a custom enclosure specific to that pair of units.
