EMT Headshell + SME-adapter + SME 3009 = spoiled geometry?

Hello, me again...
There are EMT-SME adapters around, allowing the use of a headshell on the other tonearm (mounting-system)... but, don't these spoil the geometry, by prolonging the arms length?
Asking because, again, I'm tempted to get me a EMT-headshell, for the cool look and the functionality are... "groovy" B)

Thank you, but... 🙄 (this is me about me)
I was more into playing around and drooling on EMT...
Pretty convinced that SME does very good what it does.

And no, it's not the cartridge not fitting the shell (carbon? what shell is that—the EMT?)

I am very happy with my 3009S II imp (carrying a AT33 ptg), but as mentioned, playing around (and good looking gear) is just as important to me as having good SQ!

In the meantime, to clarify things, I was going to post images, and found this instead:

Hi, Yes the addition of the EMT adaptor completely changes the alignment. So you would need to set it up as a new unknown length arm. This is not hard to do. Just use Conrad Hoffman's (freed alignment download gauge. To find out the new eff length, measure the arm pivot to stylus point & work backward on Conrad set up table.
However you will also find the Off-Set angle will not be correct for an SME arm. Also the EMT carts a totally unsittable for the SME as they are low compliance. You could possibly use a high compliance cart in the H/Shell. But is it all worth the effort, I would say not.

Cheers

Hello everybody,
would you be interested in where in Europe you can buy Klaudio's EMT-SME adapter?
Klaudio's offer is $170 per unit delivered to Hungary
My turntable has an EMT connection and I want to use Shure
Thanks

Yes, and the weight too.

Let's say that it's a plus of the Klaudio adapter that it does not vary the length and therefore the geometry of the tonearm, but as mentioned at least to Hungary the alternative one costs (shipping included) half the price.

The Ep-Emt is a good solution because it does not lengthen the tonearm if the headshell shown in the picture is used. Position can be adjusted! I make the headshell from kevlar and aluminum. Thanks for the good idea.
