Hello, I'm looking for a tweeter for replacing one in an existing loudspeaker, with the following features:
Any suggestion? Thank you very much.
- horn loaded or compression tweeter
- overall dimension: 110 mm round diameter
- material: silk or similar, not metal;
- sensitivity: over 95-100 dB/W/m;
Any suggestion? Thank you very much.
Hornloaded could work but compression tweeter and "silk" sounds to me like wanting a racecar with Citroen CV2 suspended baloon tires

Unlike dome tweeters, compression tweeter breakup modes may be managed by the phase plug. You can't always simply apply the same rule of thumb to them. Although there are some badly designed ones, I'd recommend you just get yourself something and work it out for yourself. Be prepared to EQ.
I'd use the PRV D260MYB ring radiator. It uees a mylar diaphragm like the JBL 2407. Sounds like a dome tweeter above 3k and works well on the Faital STH100 WG. Best part is the driver costs only $50.
Sorry, just realized I missed the 110mm part. Maybe use a custom or small WG with the driver?

Hello, please excuse me for the late, thank you for your all precious infos and suggestions.

I gave a try on simulator and it seems to me such perfect for my purpose (replacing a tweeter which is too sweet & gentle coupled with its two paralleled efficient mid-woofer), also for its particularly modest price, have you used it with satisfaction in terms of sound quality?If you just want a WG on a good soft dome, try the Scanspeak H2606-9200.
Other beatiful driver, with a low cross-point, I can't use for this OT purpose but certainly it's already on my next project ideas. What do you think about it in comparison with Faital HF100 driver?I'd use the PRV D260MYB ring radiator. It uees a mylar diaphragm like the JBL 2407. Here i have a wooden waveguide for a 1 inch compression driver that is very small, 120 mm in diameter
Tested with a 18sound NSD1095N, excellent sound, done also some measurements on my own, from 2000 Hz above really good with the Mid - High -Mid configuration you need as low as possible crossover frequency

The SS H2606-9200 is an underrated tweeter. Don't let the cost fool you. Its very capable and sounds a little more open than most other WGed soft domes. It does however roll off just as early as most other WGed domes, but that can be corrected within reason in the crossover if you don't need all the sensitivity it has to offer. The sound reminds me alot of the Morel CAT378, but it won't go as low since it has no chamber.
I bought a few H2606s for a good price just to fix some Vifa D27TG45s, as the VC was the same. You could also use the chambered motor asy from the D27 on the H2606 WG.
