Was looking at this design for a 140 Watt Mosfet Power amplifier. The Claimed figures for this are less than 0.005% THD, and also less than 0.006% Intermodulation Distortion at
a 4:1 Ratio of 50Hz and 7Khz; these look like good figures. Yes, it uses the older TO3 cased Hitachi Made Lateral Mosfets, - (which I have), and was wondering if anyone on the forum had built something similar, or have any ideas on how this could be improved?

search for hitachi (or maplin) mosfet power amp on this site (or generally in google). even better if you find the Hitachi power mosfet data book from about 1984-1985 that features this design and gives some useful background. you can find it as a PDF on the web.
the 2nd stage transistors chosen in your schematic are not the optimum for the job, so i wouldn't suspect it will meet the distortion spec you quoted across the audio frequency range. good luck!
