Since around 1977, I've been DIY with ESLs, mostly bits and pieces from Mike Wright and ticknpop. But now time to move on, and "down-sizing" (in quality) is my path.
Anybody care to cart off my stuff for a minimal payment?
1. my excellent DIY speaker panels with DIY "interface" box containing two Dayton-Wright transformers and HV bias
2. a trunk of DW cells, some visibly defective, that Mike Wright sold me long ago
3. ESL HV long cables
4. two DW ESL step-up transformers (each weighs 39 lbs, no kidding)
5. high-value high-voltage resistors, etc, etc.
Send me a PM.

Attached are FR (1/6 smoothing) and distortion (below fundamental). No EQ. Rather small room with reflections. Middle loudness. Path includes all kinds of vintage boxes and DSP (set flat). Lots of noise around my house when measurements were taken so some false peaks are present. "-60dB" is 1% distortion, which is not bad for this kind of measurement with speakers.

Better distortion traces and other detailed information can be found in the Planars forum.

BTW, does anybody have any kind of guess at what these fabulous full-range transformers might fetch on eBay?

The transformer is 1:100 and weighs 32 lbs. Anybody want to make a non-insulting offer? Likely you'll never see such a monster ESL transformer on the market hereafter.
I finally put the monster full-range transformers up on eBay for big bucks. Just fishing to find the decent price - I could be off by a lot. Just search ESL transformer.
I'm listing my 4 DW transformers on Canuck Audio, very inexpensive. Buy 3 and get another half-price. Sorry to reply so late. That throws up a full page of ESL transformers.
