Auro 3d upgrade..... bankruptcy

Hello everyone,
So I'm coming very late to the party and I'm in a very limited budget. My gear is thrown together, cheap and old.
Most people would probably laugh at my gear but it's the most I can afford. And it fits in my very limited space as well.
I made sure to get good subwoofer though 😆 🤣 😂

OK, so I have just got myself a denon x4300h.... again, yes I know, it's OLD but so am I and so is my home theater lol. My tv is a old as my avr lol.
Anyways, I see it has the auro 3d update ability, however, I've also read that the format is dead and company filed bankruptcy.

Does anyone know if this update is still available and if it is ,do you think they may reduce price more now that the format is dead.

The bankruptcy was to remove debt from the company. They are not dead, quite the contrary. Auro is gaining Interest of late, and I did hear that they are making films again using it.

Auro 3D 'upsampling' can be applied to any track, stereo up to atmos. It is in my opinion considerably better than stereo for stereo recorded tracks. The only other upmixer I have ever considered any good was logic 7 if that helps.
The best part is that you can turn the effect up and down. Perceptually it works best with narrow pattern speakers for me (KEF meta), and surves to effectively widen the pattern of the speakers from 40 degrees to whatever you would like.
I get my preferred pattern width (perceptually about 70 degrees) with the depth of image you get from good coax drivers. Can't recommend it more.

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad to know it's not dead.
I've also heard that it is good for music.
My plan is to eventually get the update. Just wanted to know if I'd have time to wait to save up some more money first lol.
I'm glad to know it sounds like I will.
Thanks again for the reply
