Hello!
I am looking to incorporate either of the mid-woofers for a 2-way project.
Which one do you recommend, to be crossed at around 650Hz to a horn CD?
Other suggestions in this price range are welcome.
Anyone with any experience with either of these MWs please share your thoughts.

Hum i'm intrested by your question since I also search a 15". The 15p80 do not seems to go has low has the 15pr400 and 15mc in between.
By the way, unless it is an error, where did you find the 15pr400 at 138 ??

Iv used the dayton pa310 (12") and really liked it, heard good things about the 15" but never used it.
Faital pro pr's (faital pro 15pr400) are great and seem to be very robust but iv only heard them in a folded horn pa setting.
My next project is going to use a 18" pro woofer and the Sb audience drivers seem to be very well priced and all of the 3rd party measurements that iv seen for various drivers look great for the money so might be worth looking into

TLHP. Once you log in the prices go lower. This is a great price. The current price for this in India is Euro 290.where did you find the 15pr400 at 138 ??
This brand completely skipped my mind, in part because loudspeakerdatabase.com does not feature this brand. A few options showed up that are decent, ROSSO-15MW500, Rosso-15SW800, and ROSSO-15W400. Let me investigate further.the Sb audience drivers seem to be very well priced and all of the 3rd party measurements that iv seen for various drivers look great for the money so might be worth looking into
Smooth FR. Seems to roll off much sooner than the 15P80Fe in the bottom end. what's an "inside" nearfield measurement? What about the Beyma 15MC700nd?
Here's an inside nearfield measure:

Driver used seems to available in India at fair prices too..
I have ysed the Beyma and its no where near as clean and open sounding as the Faital. The Beyma looks like it will go lower louder than the Faital but it needs a much bigger box to do it in. The larger Xmax will let you EQ a smaller box to get low but you’ll need a huge amp. It’s all about trade offs!
It sound dull by comparison!
They most likely have different frequency response, unless EQ:d or put into same application and system tuned. If match their frequency responses and difference in sound remains it would be something in distortion; brighter one would have more, duller one would have less.I have ysed the Beyma and its no where near as clean and open sounding as the Faital.

I bet more and more differences emerge with loud SPL, but in home use I'd assume most 15" drivers sound quite the same when EQ:d to the same system response, implemented as part of a system. Especially below 1kHz or so, above which cone breakup makes again more differences because it is phenomenon that affects directivity and not fixable with EQ other than for one axis.
If you hear difference there probably is in the context you are listening them, but this is not clear what that context was for you 😉

Having used the SB audience Rosso 15W400 I can testify that it is a very durable and quite a nice sounding driver, however I have only used it in horn loaded applications, and can't state how it would sound in a direct radiation use case.
It does lack some of the features typical of higher-end woofers, however at least in Australia it is very cheap compared to other options, which is always nice.
In general I've found SB audience drivers to be well made, especially considering the cost.
