I am making a set of speaker cables with 12/3 braided copper. The overall diameter of the cable is 1/2". I am trying to find some 'H" vinyl pants but not having much luck. I'm in Canada and relying heavily on Amazon but all the pants they send me are too small in diameter. I though maybe I need 12mm. Any suggestions folks?

Pants meaning sleeves?
Shrink type bus bar sleeves are an industrial electrical item, several colors, for ease of use.
PVC / vinyl is a common material for those.
Try that aisle in the store, or on line.
Garden hose? Just kidding!

It's probably PVC rather than vinyl, so same dielectric as the speaker wire. Also, if I understand this correctly, the majority of the dielectric will still be air so I don't see any issue there.

Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) is called Vinyl in North America.
It is the same material, there are a mind boggling range of applications, from shoes, drainage pies, heat shrink 'pants', storage jars and wire insulation, among other commonly seen objects in daily use.
