I have measured the magnet parameters of a woofer at my friend’s home. We obtained the “Tesla” and “Weber” values. Unfortunately, we don’t have T/S measurement equipment. But, we know the physical parameters of the driver; 10” diameter, rubber surround, polymer cone, 50 mm. voice coil, 9.4 dc ohms. Based on these info, is it sufficient to clone this driver? Let’s assume cost is affordable for the Chinese/Taiwanese manufacturer. Actually, I don’t want identical driver, but at least, similar.
If you are intended to clone, get the right measurement tools. That was my first thought. But otherwise, of course you can, certainly the looks can be copied. The Tesla and Weber values aren’t that of a treasure, in modern drivers you’d get them in the right ballpark anyway, using the right magnet and polepiece materials and dimensions. So basically, how much clone should it be?
Well, I think the driver cloning project shall be paused. I reconsider that buying commercial one might be better.
The initial was I got a pair of vintage ADS L1590. They are excellent sound, very neat mid and high. But, imho, as they’re closed box design, the low-end is a bit minor. Still, I love their mid and high. So, I’m thinking to build a diy pair that are the improved version of them. Keep the mid & high & crossovers but convert to bass-reflex.
The question is, is it possible to avoid mid-to-low crossover problem if using the original crossover with any commercial woofers? How to select the closet characteristic woofers?

you mean that 2x10” per side doesn’t suffice? What are you missing? Is everything still functional?
Everything works fine. These speakers have very high-efficient dome midrange & tweeter, I believe. The measured magnet strengths on woofer, midrange, and tweeter are 0.9, 1.4, and 1.7 Tesla, respectively.
