$25 in very good cosmetic shape and was told it works (haven't tested). Wondering if anybody used one or have experience with this unit. The insides look like new. I need to get it on my variac. Well built, has some heft, this was used in studio. Opinions welcome.... thx

A little history....
AB Systems goes all the way back to 1973 at ESS, where George Anderson was doing chassis design for amplifiers
and Bob Bird was hired to fix the reliability issues of the ESS power amplifiers. That was accomplished with newer
output transistors with better second-breakdown ratings. When I left and formed Threshold with Rene Besne, George
did our chassis design for some years, and before ESS went bankrupt George and Bob formed AB Systems with
power amplifiers that used the same basic design. Many years later the company was acquired by Jeff Kells,
(my neighbor in Foresthill) and even later was apparently in the hands of Mike Powell of Verastarr, an acquaintance
of Jeff's.

Wow, this is so interesting. Your talking decades and names I never heard from the Golden Years. I thankyou for sharing this knowledge. By the way the amp sounds good. I consider myself lucky as they not common it my area.
