Musical Fidelity X-Can V2 Tube Headphone amp power supply

Dear All, I lost the Musical Fidelity X-Can V2 Tube Headphone amp power supply and I need one. I am not looking for audiophile or fancy power supply. Just the replacement of stock one. The manual says it requires .12V AC 500mA . I have a PYRAMID PS3KX 3Amp 13.8V Power Supply which I used with Musical Fidelity V-90 Dac. Can I use the PYRAMID Power Supply with X-Can V2? I also found this power supply in my stereo system(Picture atttached). Would this work for X-Can? My electrical knowledge is very limited and I dont want to kill X-Can V2 with the wrong adapter. Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi Kris,

you need power supply with AC power output 500mA or more. Not DC – both your mentioned PS and the one from photo are DC output.

Just simple transformer in a box might do the trick, in fact that might be all there was in original wallwart…

Thanks for the reply. I have lost the old power supply. So i need new one. Does amazon or ebay have replacement one? I have searched and found these

These are 120V AC to 12V AC wall wart, however, one is 5.5x2.1mm plug and the other one is 5.5x2.5mm plug. You need to know which one fits the socket of the X-Can V2.

They used 2.1mm (pin size at amp socket; you can check with calipers).

Your links are all DC wallwarts.

Chris' links are the correct AC-AC power supplies.
