Has anyone here got any thoughts, impressions regarding the sound quality of this midrange unit? The Monacor MS-130
The other one I am looking at is the Seas MCA15RCY (H1262)
Proposed idea is in a Three way system 3rd order bandpass 300/3000Hz bandwidth
Thanks
Simon

The MS-130 has a Fs of 200Hz that is a bit too high to be crossed at 300HZ, the Seas is definitively better in this regard.
If you want to choose a Monacor midrange this one seems better

Alternatives

Thanks for the reply, I meant to put 375/3000 Hz not specifically focused on a Monacor mid but thought this might be a candidate. Indeed, the spec indicates 120Hz resonance, a quick run through the calcs doesn't tally with the quoted sensitivity, but the graph FR plot here indicates 200Hz so that would struggle even at 375Hz
Fs isn‘t that important for such a midrange. And it probably is closer to 120Hz, from 4g and 440um/N. Data sheets…
What is of importance is your max SPL goal set against an Xmax of 0,7mm. Which in itself is pretty typical for a midrange, but it’s not much if you want to do 200Hz full level.
