Hi, I have noticed that this mute attenuator switch fails and produces a hum in the left channel after a while and after switching it hundred times and spray ...
I probably need to take it apart and polish the contacts...
And I thought because I dont need this gimmick I maybe should just bypass the switch ...
Has somebody done this? I can solder... 🙂

I have noticed that with the lid off and turned on the noise is there when I poke the main board with a wooden stick...
So, that might be a open solder joint...
From underneath I resoldered the main board , also the wire wound joints and will see...

So what was it?So it wasnt the Switch...
The ATT simply puts a 47K R, R3, in the audiopath (X11-1540-10 board). So no active components... check solder joints on this R with ATT ON. Again with ATT ON, measure resistance from left channel balance wiper(easy to find) and one side of R3 then wiper and other side of R3, difference should be 47k
