Wanted : 1 x LT1085-CT5 so the fixed 5V version. For a repair I need one of these only to see that these are 15 Euro ex shipping and I only need 1. If you have a new/unused one left we can trade for other chips or I just pay.

These guys have them for 7.95€, maybe you can ask them to ship the LDO in a bubble wrap envelope to save shipping costs.

For some reason these regulators (fixed voltage versions of LT1085/1086) don’t like load anymore after a few years. In this case a few hundred mA are enough to see strange phenomena. With 9.5V input voltage output voltage goes from 4.99V to 4.4V and up again. Without load it stays a steady 4.99V.
