I'm working on plans in Front Panel Designer, and I'm wondering, if I have a plug that is 0.375" in diameter, should I spec the hole to be slightly larger? Or is it fine to match exactly?
Usually, when you order the part, you can download the specs on which cutout in panel are specified.
Follow this and it will be ok
(I did sometime took additionnal tolerance but it was sligthly loose. It is better to sand a bit to remove material than the opposite)

If you have the tools or the choice (when ordering a prefab), add that 0.005 - 0.01
(That’s what I would. If it is anything that will move, add a little more. A plug probably will be screwed on?)
