Am I the only one who thinks linked amps should be called primary and secondary or main and auxiliary? Master and slave feels inappropriate to me.
You're not alone. The shift to other terms is definitely under way in software development, and renewed discussions around this in electrical engineering goes back to at least 2020. This slide show regarding IEEE standards is also worth a look.
