From what I see Lii Song is serious business and now have to abandon using of "Lii Audio" trademark because the Ali Lii Audio did preemptive registration in states and now waves the paper and makes defaming stories around the audio community to ruin the brand. The Ali self-claiming "original" did sell 100% clone of Acoustic Elegance.
…and others say that they are the superior original. Why Lii Song? - that's the inferior clone of Lii Audio.
Neither Lii Audio nor Lii Song are fake. They split in late 2019 and are now two separate companies. Lii Audio caters to the domestic Chinese market and Lii Song international markets.
This isn't correct, according to the founder of Lii Audio. As I happened to be visiting him yesterday I showed him and two of his employees your post. The true story is rather complex and difficult to tease out as Mr Lii doesn't speak any English and my Chinese is extremely limited. What I did learn is - Lii Audio is planning to open an official shop on Amazon so stay tuned! None of the other Lii Audio purveyors are officially appointed distributors for outside China but that doesn't mean they're not offering genuine merchandise.
This Lii Audio / Lii Song issue got me thinking whether I have bought a genuine Lii Audio product or something else.
I started to do a research and also into China's "TaoBao online stores" and found out there are 2 official sites,
1). Lii Audio (Original - rightful owner)
2). Lii Song.
I bought a pair of Lii Audio Crystal 10 back in June 2020 and it looks like this............came with a nice wooden box.
This is an earlier model which has a sharp pointy center piece material.
Saw in the chinese TaoBao online stores, the newer 2020 model has a different cone (white) and a flat center piece material.
Again they have the flower horn emblem logo on the tip of the center piece and the back label with Lii Audio of Hangzhou,China.
Browsing through both their website in "TaoBao online stores", genuine Lii Audio speakers will have a "Dull Green and Red label with a 'Flower Horn' emblem logo stemmed on the speaker's cone and the back magnet label. A Lii Audio of Hangzhou NOT Lii Song of Hangzhou on the back label.
Also noticed in both their Chinese TaoBao online stores, there is a vast difference between them, original genuine Lii Audio has a lot more models and all has the Flower horn emblem logo on their speakers with a dull green/red label except one particular model ST6 2021 Gold edition 6.5"FR speaker with aluminum cone, see below photos......
Below are Lii Song speakers......................there is no flower horn emblem logo to be found anywhere. It kind of look cheap too.
This Lii Song speakers does not have the emblem logo.
Have asked some chinese in mainland China, registered trademark such as logos is illegal to be copied. Therefore the Lii Song speakers does not carry this logo, if it does then it would be copyright offense. Sound like counterfeit is an offence in China too.
Good to know I owned a genuine pair.
While browsing Lii Audio official website in the Chinese TaoBao online store, notice and bought myself a matched pair Lii Audio super tweeter with Alnico 5 magnet......... It is also available in Aliexpress online store.
(note: flower horn emblem logo on the tip of center piece and back magnet label). Only Lii Audio has this super alnico magnet tweeter and not in Lii Song official website.
My findings:
a. Genuine Lii Audio speakers have a dull green/red label with a flower horn emblem logo stamp on the cone and back magnet label except one particular model ST6 (Gold edition) which has the same color with Lii Song speakers label but also having a flower horn emblem logo on the magnet label and the speaker frame too. Note: Lii Audio of Hangzhou, China. on the label.
b. Was wondering why would the name changed from Lii Audio to Lii Song when Lii Audio speakers was making some wave internationally, this sound fishy.
c. Lii Audio was established in 2006 and not 2016.
d. Genuine Lii Audio speakers has been R&D by the rightful owner who was an audiophiles himself. His official website in Taobao online store carries a varity of models.
e. If one owns a dull green/red label with a flower horn emblem logo stamped on the speaker cone and back magnet label, and has Lii Audio of Hangzhou,China mark on it, one can be assured it is genuine Lii Audio product and they are of good quality.
Note: There is no mention of Lii Song on their label on Genuine Lii Audio products. Suspect those that have the same color label as the original Lii Audio but has Lii Song of Hangzhou on the magnet label, that is a counterfeit product.
Hope my findings can help future buyers to differentiate between Lii Audio, Lii Song speakers and counterfeits.
So is Lii Song speakers counterfeit??
I would only buy the genuine R&D Lii Audio speakers not others.

Greetings, how would you describe the SQ of your alnico super tweeters? I am pretty interested in purchasing them, too. 😎
