That’s pretty cool.
Are you familiar with the “click beetle “ ?

Not familiar. Probably have seen one when I lived in South Africa. Why do you ask?Are you familiar with the “click beetle “ ?
That got me thinking and I ordered this: https://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/tube-town-turret-sockel-pcb.html
But the first jobbie is going to be for an autoformer

Just looks well done and reasonably priced. Not familiar. Probably have seen one when I lived in South Africa. Why do you ask?
Oooh sorry. Now I get it...its a preamp by bugamps. I thought you meant a real one. My bad...not the sharpest the past week due to lack of sleep.
Those look great. Wish I’d used something like that in a recent rework/replacement of some cracked ceramic sockets. Just didn’t know they existed. How are you going to mount them? Standoffs?
This is an example on the site. I don't know how I'm going to mount them in my transformer case. I'll post when I've done it.
Yeah I saw that ,
As long as the case is deep enough.
It looks like you might be able to wire the socket to the adapter before you mount it to the case? Sure would be easier that way

No socket. But I'm sure I'll find a way. Its easy with wood. Just glue in some other wood should do the trick.wire the socket to the adapter before you mount it to the case? Sure would be easier that way
I'm giving up on this idea. An extra set of solder etc...to use this pretty construction. I'm just going to mount the autoformer on the chassis. And place the oak enclosure over it. No use trying to complicate things.
It’s a lot of extra work. Still kinda cool, maybe you can use it elsewhere.
