Hello,
I would like to know everything I can about the Pioneer OMP-600 6cm full range driver, it's R&D background, what speaker systems it was/is used in, how much they cost, where to get them in the USA, documentation links, etc.
Thanks...

It appears to be (nominally) a one-off batch for the Japanese Stereo Magazine's annual Mook project.
Pioneer OMP-600 is a supplement to the Japanese audio magazine "stereo".
It was released in July 2017, so it will not be available in the U.S. or Japan.

OK thank you Scottmoose and nandappe.
What does "ontomo mook" translate to in English?
Please correct me on any and all points I've made in error:
The Japanase magazine Stereo promotes an annual "Ontomo Mook" DIY speaker project.
Various speaker driver manufacturers participate in this project and produce one-off specialty drivers for the cabinet presented for that year.
These drivers are special production items only available in Japan.
These drivers are limited production, so drivers made for a particular Ontomo Mook project year are no longer available new, even in Japan.
Drivers and the special large page count publication that includes the plans are sold as a kit by Stereo Magazine of Japan.
The Ontomo Mook project and DIY kits is still active as of 2023.
There is no way to obtain these drivers in the USA, the Pioneer OMP-600 in particular.
The Pioneer OMP-600 is no longer made, so they are not available new anywhere unless NOS.
If the Pioneer OMP-600 cannot be sourced in the USA, is there a third party source in Japan that will facilitate a transaction?
Does a very close clone/copy of it exist, available on AliExpress or somewhere else?
What currently available driver would be THE CLOSEST to it in design?
Once more, does anyone have anything of depth to share on the development background of the OMP-600 and its design secrets?
nandappe, thank you for your hard work on your most excellent YouTube channel. It's a great channel and I hope many others check it out.
Here's a decent video showing what these Ontomo Mook projects are like if I understand it properly:
Thanks all...

OMP-600 is difficult to find in Japan, whether new or used.
I recommend the SPK Audio F02P-4 as an alternative.
It is slightly less powerful than the OMP-600, but other factors are one rank higher.
