Hello,
Just ordered my Amp Camp.
For a preamp, I could use the preamp section of my NAD integrated or a Rolls Bellari PA955 tube amplifier. https://rolls.com/product/PA555
Will either or both work? Sorry for the basic question, this is new to me.
Thanks in advance, Randy.

It is the NAD C340 Integrated. It has preamp out capability. I would like to use the tube preamp, if possible, because I think it sounds better. Thank you for your interest. I just want to make sure that something I have will work.
Yes.
You would be doing the same thing we did a lot of in the late 70’s. We sold a ton of NAD3020, and an aweful lot of them ended up witht he pre-ampdriving something larger. PS Audio, Hafler, QUAD. Some got active XOs (dB Systems) and biamped using the amp in the 3020 for the top.

I was under the impression that the "preamp" stages of that ilk didn't have much Voltage gain because the poweramp stage did both Voltage and Current. No?
Kind regards,

The standard ACA does have an overall gain of about 10dB, with a modest power output of about 4.5 to 5 Watts. Whether this is sufficient depends on the rest of your system and listening space.
Adding a little more gain in front of the amp may not give the increased sound and/or dynamics if your speakers need more voltage and current than the standard ACA is capable of delivering.
There are enhancements to the ACA which can help. (Yes I am guilty of those..) And there are larger amps from Nelson’s First Watt series.
