The postage will be much more than the sheet...and there is a risk of transit damage.
There are acrylic fabricators here in India, with a laser cutting / fabrication facility.
Try one in Canada or USA.
Please mention thickness, it is about $5 a kilo in 8 x 4 foot sheets here.
Cut pieces, price depends on the dealer's stock. He may have to cut a sheet, or it may be scrap left over from a job.
Poly carbonate sheet will also be suitable, look for glazing suppliers, and it is also used in buses, and shower partitions.
Usual wood tools will be adequate.
Glass is temperature resistant, non scratchy compared to plastic, think about it.

Great place. But a shop in Canada near you would have cheaper shipping.

Sendcutsend or Front Panel Express can do this and mail it to you. There's a Laird Plastics in Quebec, if they won't do this for you, they are selling acrylic to places close by who will and they can offer referrals.
Random image off the net, double wall poly carbonate sheet, common in green houses and such, interesting light effects in front of LEDs.
Think about it.
By the way, why do you want to expose the innards of the unit behind a sheet of see through material?
Good to know that Send-cut-Send now ships to Canada. Yay! That's probably the lowest cost option.
