I have been searching for information on a Heathkit IT-17 tube tester manual.
While searching the internet I came upon this Forum, so I joined. I cannot find the threads that I found during my internet search. Anyone have any ideas where they can be? Thx

You might find it at www.electrotanya.com. If not pm me and I will email you a copy of the important pages. There is also a replacement tube chart (28 pages of setup info) on the net. E
That model is similar to my old Heathkit TT-1 tester.
A good old reliable emission tester from 1957.
The manual plus updated tube listings are handy to have.

I took off the rear aluminum cover and studied the mounting of the tube chart roller assy. and unmounted the one pot and three switches and the single assembly of thirteen 3way switches then unbolted the roller rack five bolts from the front panel which allowed for the clearance to clean the foam tape residue from inside the escutcheon and mount the new window in the same fashion. I've asked on 3 forums for instructions for this but I must be the only person to have made this repair/restoration? I didn't film it as I was really flying by the seat into uncharted territory, but I was successful!! To save money and an eye on survivability, I cut an old piece of glass and added the red paint stripe to the inside since mine was missing the plastic window and most that I've seen have yellowed so badly over time. I had the piece of glass and was able to cut the sliver from the old window from my home windows replacement years back, and it cost nothing! I do think it came out fantastic!
