Hello. I'm thinking about improving the power supply of my DIY phono preamps.
It uses LM317 and LM337.
I want to replace it using LT3045 and LT3094.
Will it be quieter than with the LM317/337?
Greetings

It depends. If the preamp has high PSRR, noise in the power supply will not contribute much to the total output noise. In that case change of the voltage regulator chip would not make difference.
Elvee's D-Noizator....eezy cheap and retro-fittable.

Quite frankly I have never been able to understand how to connect up the D-Noizator.
However a extremely quite (and I mean QUIET) P/S kit can be bought from member Sachu, he sells them separately or with either of with two phono boards.
Cheers

Rectifier-1000uF-47ohm-470uF-47 ohm-zener diode(15v?)-470uF.......
A phono preamp that I contructed uses that, and is silent as a church-mouse.
Simple.
