Hello everyone
I'm returning after a few years away from the hobby and forum.
I'd like to build a DAC for my next project, preferably based on a popular design, where the issues are already worked through. Even better if PCBs or modules are available.
My only requirement is that it needs to accept digital optical input (from the TV) and output stereo via RCA connectors to the amplifier.
Any suggestions?

If you're wanting to a build a DAC from scratch, my Toscanini is based on a design which has a history of DIY builds (Kubelik). Whilst the DAC doesn't come with a Toslink (optical S/PDIF) on-board, a purchase from Aliexpress (or eBay) such as : https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100...!sea!HK!2609685283&curPageLogUid=wdu0Njmgtyng will fit the bill. RCAs will need to be mounted off-board too.

Thanks for that suggestion. I've never tried NOS so I'm going to send off the Gerbers and give this one a try.
