If you have to use ANY brand of solder-wick, get Chemtronics (blue).
I made the mistake of getting some worthless crap from Mouser once.
This last order, I went back to Chemtronics, SO much better!
The stuff went UP in price over the last few years, but it's definitely a needed tool for the service bench.

Its been so long since I bought any... Forgot there was different sizes...

This is what I use:
The Chemtronics wick is definitely better. It's a much finer mesh. I use that size a lot. The wider braid on the left is not great. Next time I think I'll try to find a Chemtronics type that's the same size. I would also go with rosin/RMA flux instead of no-clean if possible. No-clean is a pain to remove.

I have a few radio shack branded things. Wire stripper, RatShack cross branded pocket leatherman, maybe some solder somewhere? Each time I see / use them now I think of the fleeting nature of time.
Use the smallest width braid that will work for the job. Really wide braid is just a waste.
Last order from Mouser I got the Chemtronics (blue) 50-4-25. Mouser #5878-50-2580-4-10, 80-3, 10-50 ?

.11" wide, good for general use and really soaks up the solder.
