Sony VFET PS filter

I have a DIY Sony VFET Kit. To say the least I am new at this. I am building the Bulwar front end, would like to get help in building the PSU filter. The build by 6L6 has been very helpful. A thank you to him. I hope to find the PSU filter board and parts, so far I have had no luck finding them. Most parts are available, however I have a question about the C1 nichicon cap. I see the rated voltage and capacitance...do the leakage current, impedance and rated ripple have to be known when ordering? A detailed list would be extremely helpful. Thank you in advance

6L6 Thanks for the response
I have posted the PS filter pcb and schematic

Thanks, but one more thing like 'Columbo" said. Is there a way to get that PCB filter board? Or perhaps you can point me in another direction for a PSU filter to use in the Sony VFET kit.
Maybe one like this (search in AliExpress for 3256803426927139 wich is the item-id) and don't forget to choose the 4A 50V type!

I have an extra ship of theseus PS filter board that I would send to you for the cost of shipping. About $11.00 USPS priority shipping. PM me if you want it. You will have to order the parts to populate it yourself. Look at Mark Johnson’s

Ship Of Theseus: compatible, interchangeable amplifier modules

thead for a list of parts needed to finish the board.

Hi Mark Johnson, I'm a bit late to the party, however I like to try and secure a board or two for the 'PS filter intended for the Vfet/Ship of Theseus amplifiers'.

Or maybe you can point me to a ps filter for the Sony vfet kit. Thanks

I ordered them from JLCPCB. Easy to do, just read up on how to do it on Mark’s thread, Ship of theseus boards link below.

JLCPCB prices are inexpensive and they shipped mine out in about a week, with another week in transit. I have ordered three sets of boards from them now, and they do a great job. There are other board manufactures out there also.

Thanks KMF I tried down loading the file my pc had trouble reading it. I'll keep trying and then figure out how to get the boards made. I'm almost through with the Bulwark board however I'm have a problem about the orientation of the fet's KSA1222DAY and the others. I see a line on one side of drill holes, on the PCB. Now how does the fet fit? Whats the front and back? Thanks in advance!

I had that exact problem on a couple of boards that I made. To solve that riddle, I identified the three pins on the transistor in question, and then consulting the schematic and the trace lines on the board determined how the transistor pins were oriented on the board. To id the three pins on the board I used this….(link below)…..which I purchased on Amazon. A digital transistor tester. also tests resisters, capacitors and etc. Cheap too.

I am about to order some Lexington boards from JLCPCB. I was saving a couple of the PS filter boards for future projects, but I can order a few more filter boards for little cost on my Lexington order. Postage is what costs the most money.
So if you would still like a Ship of Theseus PS filter board I would be glad to send you one for the postage cost. Just PM me if you care to. I have two of these so if anyone else wants one……
