Hi,
I've ordered WM61A, I've found Linkwitz mod, but I see no info about the casing, which I guess highly affects results.
How should I construct this microphone?

I left the WM61A capsule hanging on two wires. It is small compared to the wavelength of 20KHz. I am not a microphone expert, but I expect that the capsule should not have other objects nearby.

are you sure it can be just like that? that would be awesome, but I guess it requires some chambers on the rear side of capsule
Not sure. It seemed to work well.
ETA: The capsule was designed to be mounted on a PCB.

No. All of this was done years ago.
My measurements of the Magnepan speakers were close to those in the audio magazines.

That class of electret mikes does NOT have back openings. It can be used "naked" and be fine past 6kHz.
Back-tubing may bring-up the upper midrange, though a 8mm tube may have little effect to past 15kHz.

Linkwitz' page shows it at the end of a tube that's about the same diameter as the capsule. I've seen similar for the mics on more expensive SPL meters, and I presume a longer tube is better.

I recall Audio Amateur from way back had a "Mitey Mike" article with a similar design, with the tube maybe one to two feet long.
