I have acquired these weird Monoprice 133833 speakers and I'm using them as rear satellites. The speakers are supposed to be bi-wired but I have connected the drivers in parallel and the amp doesn't like it.

Apart from series, what are my options?

I believe it is not a bi wire connection. The top terminal is for a separate height channel.
By connecting in parallel I guess you have a fairly low impedance, hence the amp not being too happy.

A little set of sealed “castle’ style” speakers.
There should be no difference between biwire and just parallleling the inputs and using a single wire. You end up with the same impedance.

In which case it is 2 speaker sand not intended to be bi-wired.
