Thanks for your reply. I actually have a pair of EgglestonWorks Fontaine (pre SE) speakers. They only have a cap / resistor on the Ester T330D tweeter - no crossover parts on the woofers. I think I've found a crossover schematic for the SE version you mentioned here (but not sure it's correct). If you do happen to have a picture of the crossover, it could be helpful for me to figure out whether the schematic I have is on the right path / help me fix the Fontaine speakers. They really do need a proper crossover. So far, I haven't been able to get any info from EW.
