DIY OB sub drivers?

Some questions to you:

To be installed in your SLOB project? https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/slob-design.393723/
Single or stereo pair?
Where are you located? It is easy to order these from a local or at least domestic (or in EU) vendor.
Indoor or outdoor use, home or PA? What max spl needed?
Sensitivity of the whole stack of 4 drivers should obviously match the rest of your system, which is what?
Are you using a separate amp for sub(s), dsp or passive attenuation for equalization of dipole loss?

Anyway, for sub bass the driver should have lower Fs than SM-112N and preferably higher Xmax. Electric power capacity is not important for home use.
Price and availability? So, you need 4 for mono or 8 drivers for stereo!

You have roughly about 500 good drivers to choose from! Price range 100-600€

To be installed in my stereo slob project. I live in Norway and would like to be able to order from the EU. Not sure what you mean by max spl? sensitivity 8 Ohm. Active sharing with Audiolense and separate amp.

I would appreciate a further explanation as to why I should have lower Fs. Xmax I understand the point of should be higher, but this is often in connection with price.

This is to be used at home. A total of 8 drivers.

Have I understood correctly that Fs is the lowest nominal frequency the driver plays? then, of course, parameters such as the cabinet and the room will influence the effect.

When you use equalization/dsp, many T/S "rules of thumb" can be skipped. Maximal excursion Xmax is the limit. With four drivers in OB you don't need modern ultra long stroke and expensive drivers.

Ok. The Visation driver seems to be a good alternative.

I will Sketch a drawing of the cabinet to post here for design input.
