Looks like it would be decent to use as a subwoofer.
Have a price for the driver?
The 1000W rating may seem low compared to others but it may be more honest. Some datasheets can inflate power handling numbers a bit.
Might be worth using the formula SD*Xmax/price to compare it to other drivers.

I guess, but i was looking at something even bigger than the current 21" trend, the more area gives you more air to move with a single driver.
True but 2 x PD1845 will move as much air, similar SPL per Watt and has more power handling for less money. Admittedly doesn't have the visual wow factor though.
Agree, so why they make those big things if we just can double with smaller drivers
