What Jimi Hendrix record could that be?

Hello friends
A long time ago, I had the occasion to listen to (a part of) a Jimi hendrix record which was completely new to me: very calm and very fine (and listenable…). As far as I remember, it was him alone, and it certainly was instrumental (no vocals).
I unfortunately did not ask what album/recording that was and the person who had it has disappeared.
Does anyone know of something that could fit this very vague description?

I think also there have been as many as three posthumus album releases of (mostly) Jimi Hendrix music. I've got the one that came out last year called Both Sides of the Sky. It's got a few beautiful jammy instrumental pieces in it, sounds wonderful on vinyl.

Kinda a tough one.

There is only 4 Hendrix albums

But likely been over 100 or so releases after his death.

If I remember the footage of him playing the acoustic 12 string is from the first documentary film made
after his death.

There is acoustic demos he made at home.
which might have been released.

none of the songs have actual real titles.
they were just song ideas he sent to band members

It could be anything given the stuff (official, semi-legal and bootleg) which has come out over the last 50 years, but there's an instrumental on the "Voodoo Soup" CD called 'New Rising Sun', which fits that description. Jimi did many other instrumentals such as Pali Gap, Rainy Day Shuffle, South Saturn Delta or Jungle Jam. There was even a great track which was assembled from several different tunes called 'Captain Coconut', on the controversial 'Crash Landing' album.

The 'acoustic' tracks which came with the book referenced above were, I think nice vocal and guitar home demos. I have around 120 Hendrix CDs so it can be hard to remember what's on what!

Jazz-wise, there's 'Young-Hendrix' and South Saturn Delta, although I wouldn't call them laid back.

I suggest checking out the Jimi Hendrix Record Guide website which lists all of his legal and unofficial releases and some bootlegs.
