I'm having a heckuva time finding 16-gauge solid-core (non-stranded) oxygen-free copper wire. I only need a few feet. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Good morning Zuman,
I also have a pair of CSS Criton 1td-x, love them dearly, I have a site that I use with success, I used some of their wire and pure copper speaker terminals.

Can you post some more pics on the Criton 2td-x towers, also any follow up thoughts on them? I'm really thinking of those or GR Research x static
Thanks

Hello! Did you see my post (with a couple of photos) here? https://www.diyaudio.com/community/...criton-2td-x-towers-in-solid-mahogany.398184/
I am increasingly happy with the 2TD-X Towers as I get my overall system dialed in to them. Their sound is significantly different from the 2TD-X M-T-M standmounts I had, particularly in the highs (which is not what I expected)! I don't know if that's because of the Towers' T-M-M configuration or because I wired the tweeters with solid core silver wire.
And yes, I found partsconnexion too. Thanks!
I also considered the X-Statiks, but decided that I couldn't make an open baffle design work in my living space as they'd likely need to be positioned further out into the room than my wife would consider acceptable.

Yes I was looking at the build pics, they look amazing, congrats. Can you share the link for the solid silver wire you used for connecting the crossovers to the speakers. Were you using a different solder compared to kester, for example?
Thank You
Thank You
I bought both the copper and silver wire from partsconnexion. The silver wire is Neotech 22awg Solid Core. I used Cardas Quad Eutectic solder.
Another good wire supplier.
