Tto help answer your question could you please give us some dimensions to work with?
What is the diameter of the dome approx. 19or 25 mm?
What diameter of the face plate .
It looks like a Vifa unit at to me , could you also get an image of the crossover components as that may be needed to decide on a suitable replacement one the tweeter is fully identified.
Possibly what remains of the identification label is stuck around the magnet, as the remainder of the label still stuck to the tweeter cutout or fallen off inside the box?

Maybe have a look here

from the data it could be a
Vifa D26TG-05, which may need a suitable modern replacement ,

I'd just disassemble the flange and see if I can take out the 'butterfly' assembly . Then see if I can set the dome to its original shape.
Water and then dry under pressure...

Tweeter looks to be a Vifa D27TG3506 with an older faceplate. Can be swapped over to a new one, but the current offering of this tweeter doesn't sound as good as the older one made in Denmark I'd buy a D27TG35 VC asy from ScanSpeak sold through Madisound or Meniscus for about 40 bucks and replace the Ferrofluid in it too.
You're correct. Its the same one Snell used to use. A D27TG35 VC will fit it, but you should replace the FF in it, as its.probably dried up.Maybe have a look here

I can't open the box itself or remove the woofer. It is very tight sealed and the woofers are centralized years ago by an expert when I was still living in The Netherlands.
So I can't see the filter and also can't find any lost labels.
The dome is approx.2.8 mm
Face plate is 10,4 cm
Diameter of inside (magnet) 7 cm
Depth 3.8 cm
Weight 460 grams.
As you notice, I am not an expert. Live in Spain nowadays, to send it to Holland to the guy I bought them from years ago, will cost me a fortune.
Kind regards,
Robert
Hi Robert,
Post Nos 5 and 6 above from Profiguy and information from Picowallspeaker post No 4. provides answers.
If you have steady hands and are a born fixer you can probably remove the damaged dome and clean out the old and probably dried up ferrofluid in the magnet gap. At the same time you may get away with gently re forming the dome as Picowallspeaker suggests.
Alternatively get a speaker repair shop to do this for you.
A search for ferrofluid replacement in a tweeter should get you a pictorial guide on what's involved.

This looks exactly like a Vifa D26TG-35/06
The 06 being 6ohm. Could be 04 or 08 also, but 06 are the most common.

Here´s 2 pieces 2. hand from Germany with cracked faceplates. You could use the diaphragms to exchange with your own. Cheap way of fixing 🙂
