Hey guys I am working on a bp1200.1 and a kx1200.1 same amp basically. Both amps have the same whine on the output. If I squeeze the 2.56mhz crystal I can change the whine on both amps how can I check the crystal. Or is it the f16 m14060 ic
It's generally due to having un-synchronized oscillators between the power supply and output stage. There is generally nothing that you can do about it. For some reason, some amps that had a synchronized design have eliminated it by leaving parts out of the board. The noise generally isn't a problem when the amp is in normal use, driving heavy subs in the trunk of a vehicle. Many people only notice it because they're using full range speakers when testing.
