Hi ... can anyone tell me how many ACA Mini's I can run with the Meanwell 24v 5a power supply?
Will be using 3 in stereo quad amp system. Draw should be light.
All on horns at not over 80db.
If only two, would the 24 3.75 work for the third amp?
Also, recommended splitter cable?
Thanks, Zene

You are instructed to bias near 0.4Amps per channel.
Figuring on a car-loan payment slip, FULL test-tone power may be 0.5Amp @ 8 Ohms or 1Amp at 4 Ohms.
Unclipped speech/music is far below sine-tone test stress. Looking at 15,000uFd rail cap (tenth of a Second time constant), it is unlikely that drum or piano spikes will sag the rail much.
I figure four channels at 4 Ohms and more at 8 Ohms, just by the numbers. I do not know if the MeanWell gets chirpy at high output. (I've abused the heck out of them for digital devices and also incidental car radios, but not for good sound.)

PRR ... Thx for indepth answer. Solves a lot of trouble and money.
If you need co-signer for car/vehicle let me know. Figured you saved me money and willing to help. I have no credit but will have over $70 in savings.
I'll let the troops know if PS works.
Thx again.

You may want to fire up your amps in a row with a few secs delay, and not at the same time, as the surge at power up due to the caps loading may trigger the hiccup mode of the SMPS.

Claude ... good advice, did not think of that. I can only afford to loose two modern speakers of the 6.
