I have Sony CDP-307ESD but unfortunately it doesn't work.
2 repairmens said the Dac chip is broken and original TDA1541 chip is hard to find.
Just to be sure, I wanted to get the opinion of experienced friends here.
If the problem is in the dac chip the device will to scrap.
The sound does not come from the cd mechanism, it comes from the cd analog output over the speakers of the amp.

I've tested the digital output doesn't work, gives the same cracked sound.
In this case there is another problem not the dac chip.
Placing the problem at or before the CXD1125. At this point a 'scope and the service manual would be very helpful.

There is 1 ic on the board that gets real hot, it has a copper metal on top for cooling, found that the soldering underneath was bad, resoldered and all worked fine again,
