Just curious if anyone has had any experience with the Beyma 15MC500? Looking for a 15" up to approx. 800hz.
Thanks!
Thanks!
I have "15CM V2 8 OH" (not exactly the same thing but similar) that I use to 500Hz and am satisfied with them apart from two issues:
1) frame rings when driver isn't in an enclosure
2) once with a lot of mid-range heavy bands entered heavy power compression and took a long time to cool down
One thing I notice with the 15MC500 is that it only has a 2.5" coil diameter so might have issues with rocking modes at higher excursions. If you have the budget I would recommend this driver:

I use it in some horns, it has a very powerful motor!

Came back to this one... sims good in a 5cft box and tuned at 40hz. Thoughts on this compared to Faital Pro 15PR400? Price is somewhat similar. This would be for a 2 way with a 800Hz horn.
Thanks!

That Beyma has a demodulation ring and the Faital does not.
If this is a two-way, consider a driver with ring(s) installed. More apparent at higher excursions. Probably not much of a difference if only using a couple millimeters of excursion.
