I have never had a faulty uPC1237, it has always been other issues.
The fleabay module will not get the amplifer to turn on!

Common issues on these are dry joints beneath the semiconductors and fuseable resistors going open circuit.
Check for a DC offset on each speaker feed, relay contact side, not speaker outlet side.

Yes, rare but can use as kit for bulds or upgrade.... . within ~300 amplifiers got some with relay output nonfunctional and ebay replacement IC turnedout fake
 
Yep, Chinese supplier "value adding" by selling fake parts via a protection circuit. I purchased a few of the discrete versions work fine but run the same risk. I should replace the relays with Omron or similiar, have a nagging feeling that the Chinese item will have tin contacts or ... Seem a little disappointed with the SQ...
