Hi, I have a pair of Klipsch RF82 ( https://www.klipsch.com/products/rf-82-floorstanding-speaker ) that have rear ports.
Will the placement benefit from rear diffusers like these ones: http://p10hifi.net/FH/download/EdHorn-deflector-230607-map.pdf ?
Will it be easier to place them closer to the walls behind them? Is it possible to predict how and if the bass will change?
Thank you in advance,
Roberto

for a low cost you could make an impedance measuring jig to use with Room EQ Wizard ("REW")and observe any downwards shift in tuning. I'm not sure of a benefit of such a device - Will it allow closer placement to a rear wall without much downwards shift in fb ?

Wow. 15+ year old drawing Ron’s deflector. Don’t know if anyone ever made these ones. They were done to decrease the waveform coming back off the wall re-entering the horn-mouth, as well as effectiviely increasing the mouth size.
Here is the original that informed the EdHorn one.

I don’t think it will make much difference to a vent. It may affect your acoustics but that is a different thing.
