ICEPower 500ASP + 500A or 2x 500ASP?

I bought an ICE 500ASP and paired it with a 500A module for a 2 channel amplifier a couple of years ago. I've been reading recently that even though they are meant to work together, its more recommended to use 2x 500ASP modules instead. I know the 1000A is bandwidth limited, as opposed to the 500A. I've seen the charts in the datasheets and they seem to have some minor differences, but is it worth it?

The problem is that the 500A and 500ASP are not 100% the same amplifier, the 500ASP has protection features etc. For a 2-channel amplifier it is better (and safer) to use two ASP-modules, although you may not hear that much of a difference.

Im not sure if this is one of these differences, but Im pretty sure the side using the ASP module is slighty louder than the A module. Did some testing by changing sides and speaker and could hear a difference, but not sure this is due to the modules

With 2 500ASP modules you can use one close to each speaker.
Long interconnects, short speaker cables.
