Good evening,
Been looking for a quick and and cheap way to add a subwoofer to my 2-way system, turn it into a 2.1! Seen this cheap DSP but it is always sold with an interface board for easy connection.
Do I need the interface board to be able to use it or can I just solder my own balanced inputs and outputs? because the interface board has some components on the PCB which got me wondering why is it not a direct solder.
Thank you!

Would that make any difference? No idea what would that translate to.You don't need to use the interface board, but be aware this board only uses single ended signals, not balanced.
I was just letting you know that you won't be able to directly use your balanced inputs/outputs with this board. In the simplest case you can just use one of the balanced signal lines, but you then lose the advantages of balanced. Given the sound quality of this board (and its companion DSP board) you probably won't notice a difference.
Thank you so much, I’ll get the adau1701 board only then without the extension board!I was just letting you know that you won't be able to directly use your balanced inputs/outputs with this board.
