Before I list this on eBay I'm listing it here for $150.
For sale is a 10" Subwoofer based around the Peerless 830452 XLS driver with a Parts Express 300-793 Subwoofer 250W Amplifier with remote control. This is side firing to the left and the B&W dimpled FlowPort is down firing. Made from Tassie Oak veneered MDF and both the inside and outside are sealed with a polyurethane finish. Cleats are used in the corners and the baffle is braced behind the driver. Comes with the remote control, IEC power lead and the amplifier manual. Used in a HT system in a 4.2m x 5.7m room with 2.4m to 4.2m ceiling height and provide plenty of bottom end for movies and was used at sensible levels.
Vb=40 litres, F3=27Hz, 376mm x 376mm x 476mm high.
Pick up only in the Newcastle NSW AU area.

I agree.
Although "absolute bargain" is a bit of an understatement.
I keep telling people to buy custom/diy made speakers; I really should stop.
I'm not sure if any one listens to that advice.
There's a guy 0.5 km away from me who owns a store that sells "Wilson Audio" speakers or similar with ScanSpeak Revelator drivers for 109,000 USD (probably more now).
A guy on some audio forum sold roughly the same speakers but with ScanSpeak Illuminator drivers for 2,000 USD
That's a bit silly.
Something a poker player once said sticks with me, I'm paraphrasing:
"when you lose a lot of money to a regular person and you know it changed his life, it bothers you because you know you made a difference in that guy's life, but when you lose a lot of money to a billionaire you don't care because you know it doesn't matter to that guy."
