Got some very old audio Technica cans and crappy Radio Shack crap. Thought about Jubilee not sure of brand but seems good for the price. Not sure if "critical listening phones" are right for me. Looked at AGS or something like that at a good price and old school. One is semi open air and kind of like that idea better than totally closed. Audio Technica or Sony are on my short list. Might even get dedicated low power high quality amp to get the most out of them. The A T are shorting out and refuse to subject my brain to the radio shack. Suggestions? On a right budget.
Looked into this a little. They are AKG. Anyway since price is a major consideration I am opting for the Audio Technica ATHM20x. $45 . Bass of course isn't great but they claim to have a very neutral midrange which I love. Something about S and T sounds are not clear but I listen at very low volume. Can't be worse than what I have. Bad isolation but that's ok because listening to in the man cave basement isolation chamber.. Crank homemade boxes till the windows rattle then turn down a little when the ceiling has a couple of thumps. Can't bet the price so forget X mass I'm too old to wait
