Adding custom sounds to Police siren

I recently bought this 11ohm amplifier designed for use on a siren system, and was wondering if there was a way to replace the sound files with new ones. Attached is the files on the board. The white things with the white wires are where the sounds are stored. Thanks!

The white things are just connectors. The sound is stored most probably in memory devices, like the black 8-pin device on your first picture (not sure, just guessing). Even if you can identify the device, it could be a proprietary format, so your chances are very little.

LM386 is a toy level chip used for headphone amps, and costs pennies. Very much a classic chip.
You can modify the circuit, look for circuits using it here on this forum.
I have CRT 'kits', which were used to upgrade older TVs, they had a small 8 DIP chip as memory to store settings.
The capacity may be low, enough for a TV, for brightness etc.

Modifying your siren will be a long process, just use the output stage after connecting it to a Bluetooth reciever, then you can use a cell phone / other device to send all sorts of sounds to the siren.

Since it´s a sizable Market, I guess somebody must make a dedicated "siren" chip, with a few generic siren sounds, yours might use one of them.

Of course, Factory programmed, so not much you can do.

I bet somebody knowledgeable could easily program some microcontroller, say a PIC, Arduino, whatever to produce any siren sound desired ... not me of course.

In fact there "should" be some similar project around, search for it.

I know a man who makes 'mantra' frames, basically a religious chant (mantra) is played, and an appropriate photo of the religious type is on the frame.
There is a tiny mains powered amp, which drives a tiny toy size speaker, and there is a switch to toggle to your choice of mantra.
Apart from that a volume control, and mains switch are there, fancy ones have lights on the border.

I had to repair one, so I asked this man, and he gave me a small chip, with a IC bonded to PCB under a blob of black stuff, they are called 'Damar' (coal tar) IC here.
No markings, they come in trays in boxes, only marks are on the boxes, as to what sounds are there, max. was 128 different chants on one chip. Maybe a part number on the chip, if you are lucky.
He showed me how to connect the thing, it drove the speaker directly, DC from linear supply.

It worked, my aged friend was happy...there must be many varieties, so best find a source for them.

Or dismantle the siren, use the parts elsewhere.

Interesting.
The cheapest of the cheap chip (hey, what did I write here?), unencapsulated, soldered straight to end use pcb,and a drop of epoxy applied after assembly.
Do you have any clickable link to listen at some of those electronic Mantras?

No links, the chips come from China, either ready, or they can be programmed by somebody in Mumbai, if the quantity is large, I had asked because a Jesuit Father wanted one.

It seems such frames with photos of Christian figures are sold in his home state, so there was no need to do that, making a custom chip. He wanted Christian chants...a relative sent him one.

But the sound sample can be loaded on blank chips, MOQ was 500+, IIRC.

I think about 3 minutes of low quality audio are about all that could be done.

Most ancient chants for the native religions here are in Sanskrit, must be on various sites.
Unless you know the language, it would not make sense.

Mostly vocal, support music at low volume, like Hindi film music, or 70s Julio Iglesias (Sr.)...'Quireme', 'Como Tu', 'Un Dia Tu, Un Dia Yo', was listening to him in my car today!

No, I just like the music, my Spanish is non existent.
Fan of Mr. Iglesias since 1983...

I asked YOU for some site to listen to such Mantras.
As usual , your unhelpful answers boil down to "search it online" 🙄

Unless you know the language, it would not make sense.
Let me be the judge of that.

FWIW I don´t know Mongolian either, yet I enjoy eerie and beautiful Mongolian Throat Singing 🙄

May be against Forum rules, here you are...which is why I told to to search.
Please PM if you need more details.
These are regular chants, not from a chip supplier.

This is a small sample, a starter of sorts:

And search for Mantra Machine / Mantra Frame with sound, a sample:
https://www.flipkart.com/rgemac-mus...-sound-continue-prayer-kit/p/itm948571c59de4c

Like I said, the pictures vary, as well as the sound from the chip inside.
Many religious motifs are covered, with matching pictures.

There are various mantra machines on sale if you scroll down on the Flipkart page.

It gives you some idea of the variety available, and locally many shops selling photo frames will sell you one.
'Happy Birthday', and other songs for occasions like anniversaries are also available...

Flipkart is an Indian on line selling site, I have no ties to it.
