Drivers are:
*8" Scan-Speak classic woofer 21W-8552. Foam is shot. may replace with interesting substitute as I like the beryllium copper look. Any suggestions of similar specs appreciated
* Specs attached in PDF
*4" Eton 4-203/25 HEX. Foam Shot. Same as above
* Specs
CONE TYPE: Hexacone
SIZE: 4in
SPL(2.83v): 89db
WATTS: 50

I haven't pulled the tweeter yet. but something that would correspond to above idea of copper may be attractive.

Why not just refoam the surrounds? I have replaced shot surrounds on some vintage speakers and it works perfectly, you can buy kit or surrounds and glue separately. If you put new elements in you will have to modify the crossover, there are no quarantees that it will work properly with old crossover even if specific values match.
Refoam the drivers as suggested.
The Scanspeak 21W have still available refoam kit, if your not comfortable send it off to a reputable reconer, wherever you are.
To replace the driver means you will have to modify or build a new crossover from scratch.
GMA was all about phase/time coherency in their marketing, so keep it original if possible and it will retain some value.
