Hkaudio opts quality ?

Low impedance helps at the high end but at the low end you need iron, and even more of it when it is a amorphous core. Ask yourself, is 35W single ended doable with amorphous core, reasonable dcr-losses, and a transformer weigth of 2.5kg? In my experience, no. But, it could be a very good mid-highband transformer with the 8 ohm output. Would need a subwoofer, but could be worth a try....

That is the issue here: bandwidth. I use the Chinese 3.5 K amorphous double C-core transformer for 120 - 1,000 Hz midrange, and am very happy with the result.
