Mark Audio CHN50 vs CT193

I put the Mark Audio CHN-50 in rear ported boxes modeled by my friends software. It very smooth sounding and nothing jumps out at you like a fostex driver. I have to check my source and amp a few times to make sure all was okay? They are awesome for background music and just blend everything together every well. I used a older nad Integrated amplifier and supera 1.5 speaker wires. So what shocked me is the metal driver is on the warmer side of sound. I might buy another pair and do a different style of box. You can’t lose with these drivers. 😁👍. I can post a picture later tonight when I get home. 👍

CHN-50 pretty much fits into anything for A5.2/3. Mine went into a 2,5 litre µMar-KenPlus.

How much do you want to get out of it?

Looks like a BVR.

Something like 17 litres, that is a huge volume for the CHN.

To get a BVR to work you need to have someone who knows what they are doing to simulate it. Scottmoose.

Safer to stick to something known, Frugel-Horn Lite, Giraffe, there is a Baby Lab (pretty sure) and my miniOnkens.

Starting volume for a reflex is about 2.5 litre.

Here is a few pictures of my CHN50s in a rear bass reflex box. Am just using them as background music. As you can see I kept the plastic covers on so they don’t get touched or poked at. A light finger nail point can put a dent in the drivers 😬 as I have learned and a bouncy screw not once but twice. We’ll good luck and stick with Dave he knows his stuff😁👍.
