Has anyone bought a chassis from Hiendchina.com?

These look like the same chassis options that are available from any number of Chinese vendors on eBay. I've purchased a couple from random vendors and have generally had good experiences.

A couple things to be aware of:

1. I'm under the impression that these vendors don't actually stock what they are selling, so there can be random delays while they go and pick up what you ordered from wherever everyone is getting these from.

2. Everyone is using stock photos, so what you see may not be exactly what you get. For example, the photo may show front panel lettering, but the panel comes blank, or the cutouts on the back panel may not match the photos.

3. Pre-drilled holes can be a double-edged sword. They can save you a bunch of effort and give you nice professional results, but finding hardware that fits arbitrary hole sizes can also be a pain.

My take is that if you want a reliable experience, order from HiFi2000, but if you are looking for something a little different, these eBay chassis are not bad options as long as you set your expectations accordingly.

I also bought similar (about a dozen) chassis from ebay EU warehouses (several vendor has US, AU, UK, EU, DE depots).
All of these case was good shaping, strong, well made -and cheap- products. The product was the same as photos.
The stock varies, but sooner or later the suitable piece is available.

I am familiar with Chinese cases, having previously purchased them from Ebay and Aliexpress.

My question was more specific about the vendor "Hiendchina.com", had anyone bought a chassis from them specifically as their prices on chassis and shipping to NA seemed better than most of the other Chinese sellers.

"The proof of the pudding lies in the eating" 😉
Meaning: rather than endlessly guessing, I suggest anybody interested to pick a product and "order" it, to see what comes ut.
Obviously, stopping just short of actually paying or sending sensitive details.

I just simulated ordering this:

http://www.hiendchina.com/index.php...arch=chassis&sort=p.price&order=ASC&limit=100

index.php

$10 for the raw case looks very good.
Obviously it does NOT have the punched and populated front panel, which shows 2 needle meters.

They offer them IF I want to: 1 meter and its driver for $140, 2 for $179.
Bundle
one meter (+$140.00)

two meter (+$176.00)

I am starting to see a pattern: they offer a very basic case at cost, they will probably send it f asked to, but it´s just the bait for a nice profit sale.

Are they cheating?
Not at all, it´s up to me to order the full package or not ... but now numbers start to make more sense.

I was also offered shipping.
They detected I am in South America, they did NOT quote shipping to Argentina but to neighbouring Chile .... which is part of some kind of "Pacific Nations Free Trade Association", so $79

I guess that could grow up to $100 or more here.

It would be interesting to "order" from CA, US, EU, UK, and see what the final costs are.
Please post them here, to solve this mystery.

As a side not, I don´t much trust the "all aluminum" description, it looks like a standard powder coated steel case, with an Aluminum front panel.

No way I´ll get what´s shown in the picture, which is only "illustrative".
