I started to recap my CD94 and thought this was something from factory. I was moving the wire to take a cap out and the transistor leg snapped. I dont see it on schematics or know what transistor is this. Can anyone with experience advice what to do here.

That looks like a semiconductor fuse. It is placed on the board in such a way you cannot read the value.
If it reads short circuit, it has not blown.

True. But wondering the significance of this. Was it a mod or something that didnt work and it was made to work. The schematics dont have these parts. Anyone that worked on Phillips 960 or Marantz Cd94 can confirm if its something that can be removed and would still work.
